Sun, City, and History: Exploring Tampa's Gems
We explored the historic neighborhoods of Ybor City and Downtown Tampa. Ybor City, a National Historic Landmark located northeast of Tampa’s downtown, was once known as the “Cigar Capital of the World.” Ybor City has been a melting pot of Cuban, Spanish, and Italian residents and retains a Mediterranean feel.

Afterward, we walked downtown, following the Riverwalk along the Hillsborough River, enjoying fantastic waterfront views and beautiful highrises. Tampa is a lovely city with a blend of historic and modern architecture, beautiful waterways, and great weather.
Before we drove home, we sat outside near the Curtis Waterfront Park, enjoying a few cold drinks and a delicious pizza.
