A Relaxing Fripp Island Getaway

Our South Carolinian Airbnb is located in Beaufort County, on Fripp Island! Fripp Island is a secluded community and a wildlife resort! Although we had no rain during our stay, I had to drop my plan to go to the beach to warm up in the sun since the temperature had dropped. Still, I enjoyed the relaxing strolls along the Atlantic Ocean and the island.

Nice detail: The Vietnam War and the shrimping boat scenes from Forrest Gump were filmed on Fripp Island! Also, golfing is a different ball game here!

Time Flew By, Friendship Stayed

After another morning walk along the beach, I would meet a longtime friend for lunch! We met in Plainfield, IL, in 2013 or 2014. She moved around, as did I. We stayed in contact through FB.

Today, we finally met in person again at the Foolish Frog in Beaufort, SC. Time certainly flies in good company. It was great to see her in person, and we certainly enjoyed catching up together!

Sun, Sand, and Serenity on The Beach

This stay’s motto was simple: using all the senses to reload and relax from the busy traveling we enjoyed since we landed in January.

So, on several days, I only went outside to clear my head with stroll along the sunny beach.

A Sunrise Sendoff from Fripp's Shoreline

We would travel to our new destination today; I was up early for the last chance to see the sunrise above the Atlantic Ocean on Fripp Island. I had tried earlier this week but had no luck with rain and clouds.

We were on time at the beach, and after a few minutes, nature’s daily wonder happened again: the sky was on fire for a short time! It never gets boring!

We left just before 10 am, after thanking and saying goodbye to the Airbnb that was our comfortable home this last week.
