Celebrating a Cozy Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with our son and daughter-in-law while our youngest son joined us with Facetime for a while. We enjoyed delicious food, Christmas music, Christmas movies, playful chitchatting with each other, and working on the not-so-easy jigsaw puzzle.

However the next day, we were in travelmode again. We had to say goodbye again to another comfortable, convenient Airbnb. The Milwaukee, OR, Airbnb was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, with off-street parking. And enough to do. We hiked the popular Trolley Trail many times and conveniently traveled to downtown Portland taking the Max Light Rail.

Also driving to visit our family and friends did not take longer than half an hour. We loved our two weeks stay at our “home away from home.”

After locking the door behind us, we drove to our son and DIL’s apartment in the afternoon, ate some Christmas dinner leftovers and worked a little more on the jigsaw puzzle, we had started with the day before.

And Some Last Minute Shopping!

I also headed to some stores for some last-minute post-Christmas shopping. In the evening, our son drove us to Portland International Airport for our red-eye flight to Chicago International Airport and dropped us, Hemmes, and two large suitcases off.
