Our Stay at A Budget-Friendly Base
We arrived early at our new Airbnb in Hanahan, SC. A few minutes after the scheduled check-in, the cleaners left, and we were greeted by a fresh scent upon opening the door. As usual, we began our ‘Hemmes-proofed’ ritual – making the litterbox available, covering the furniture with our own sheets, so our cat could make this new place his home again and comfortably lie everywhere.
In this neighborhood, people seem to live outside; however, our worries about noise at night were unnecessary. It was quiet at night, and we slept comfortably through the night in the comfy bed. This Airbnb offered nothing fancy. However, we liked that it was pet-friendly and not far from Charleston’s expensive downtown for an affordable price.
After a busy 8 days exploring the Charleston area, we continued our trip through the United States. I hadn’t even had a chance to walk around in the Hanahan, SC neighborhood since we were away every day! Even on a rainy day when it poured, we went out to the Tanger Outlets Mall to window shop. However, as I experienced that day, a non-waterproof rain jacket in a downpour is no fun, so I bought a new one.
