Disney, here we come! We spent the whole day in the Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot, from early in the morning until late in the evening!
In the evening, around closing time, it began to pour. We were soaked when we reached the car. We had brought our bathing suits and towels with us, so we changed right there!

When we arrived at the resort, we acted as normally as possible, but the security guard couldn’t resist a grin seeing four people with wet hair in their bathing suits, covered with towels, at 11 pm!

Due to the launch of the space shuttle Endeavour, we wanted to spend the day at the Kennedy Space Center. However, many other people apparently had the same idea! We were stuck in traffic just 6 miles before the Space Center! We turned around, and instead, we went to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and stayed there for the whole afternoon.

.
To endure the heat and stay hydrated, we drank and swam a lot. We bought a refill mug, so we could drink as much as we wanted for ten dollars. The kids took several dips in the large wave pool every time a wave was heading for shore. They tried to catch the three to four-meter-high waves to body surf on. Every time a wave was created, we heard screams of excitement.
In hindsight, we were glad we changed our plans. We had a great time at the water park and were unexpectedly treated to seeing the launch of the Endeavour at about 6:30. We looked up at the sky and saw the Endeavour climbing higher and higher into space.
Safaris, Shows, and Speed at Our 3rd Visit

We revisited Disney World for a third time, this time heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney-MGM Studios. At Animal Kingdom, we went on an African safari that reminded us of the Dutch “Beekse Bergen.” It still feels a bit unusual for wildlife and roller coaster thrills to coexist in the same park.
Our fast passes were a real blessing, especially for rides with waits over an hour. Hans and Frank managed to jump on the popular Expedition Everest in just 10 minutes! Later in the afternoon, we made a quick visit to Disney-MGM Studios, where we watched Beauty and the Beast.

We wrapped up the day with a relaxed dinner at Ruby Tuesday before heading back to the apartment around 10:30 pm.
