A Hike on the Lacamas Heritage Trail
Escaping into the beauty of Washington's Lacamas Heritage Trail
With spring in the air, we laced up our hiking shoes, eager to kick off our 2024 outdoor adventures back home in the USA. We chose a local hiking adventure we had visited before, in November 2019: the Lacamas Heritage Trail, its trailhead just a 6-mile drive east of Vancouver, Washington.
The Lacamas Heritage Trail alternates between open sections with unobstructed lake views and stretches through tall evergreens, touching the shoreline for roughly 3.5 miles. The moment we stepped onto the trail, we were absorbed in the heart of nature and welcomed by Lacamas Lake’s breathtaking panorama.
It definitely felt great to be hitting Pacific Northwest trails again!
