Making Memories with Opa and Oma

Since the family was close by, we enjoyed several wonderful gatherings and made memories together. Our son and grandson came to visit, and after coffee, we naturally headed to the lovely little playground nearby, with our grandson riding along on his balance bike.

On Saturday morning, we celebrated Mother’s Day a day early just for me! We had breakfast at the Egg Harbor Café in Geneva, followed by a quick visit to an indoor market in Batavia. My son and daughter-in-law wanted to buy me flowers, but the prices felt quite steep, and besides, the outing itself was gift enough. Afterward, we enjoyed another fun visit to the playground near the Fox River.

A few days later, we visited their apartment for coffee and took our grandson to check out the neighborhood’s new playground. He had so much fun that he kept stalling when it was time to cycle back. Spending time with Opa and Oma is fun, but an afternoon nap is still a must, so consequently, Opa ended up carrying him the final stretch of the way home.
