Big Bend National Park - Day 3
Our Last Day in Big Bend National Park!
We again enjoyed beautiful views of the desert, river, mountains, and wildlife. We hiked the short Rio Grande Village Nature Trail, which offered a great panorama of the surrounding area.
We spotted a very shy “Road Runner,” which was gone seconds after I took the picture! And, on the road,” Wile E. Coyote” quickly passed us! On the beautiful Boquillas Canyon Trail, we saw a turtle sunbathing in the canyon. We had already been warned with signs that cattle would be free roaming on the road, but this was the first time we saw them. On our way to the Lost Mine Trail, we saw a small black bear picking berries. I stayed in the car because I was sure mama bear was close as well. So, I only caught “a shiny nose” with my camera!
While hiking the Lost Mine Trail, I took the last pictures with magnificent views of this park. Feeling blessed to create new memories which will be cherished and added as impressive jewels to our memory box!
