Rocking the Rocks at Margarette Falls Trail!

Stones, Rocks, and Roots on Our Way to Margarette Falls

We hiked the Margarette Falls Trail by the West Fork Dry Creek, and it was tougher than we expected. The trail in the Bald Mountains is almost 3 miles long and is supposed to be moderate, but it felt pretty steep and hard. I had to watch my step the whole way, both up and down.

The first half-mile was easy, but the trail got tougher from there. There were steep climbs, muddy patches, loose rocks, and roots that could trip you if you weren’t careful. We also had to cross the creek on stepping stones, which made things more interesting, but at least the rocks stayed in place.

All the hard work paid off. Margarette Falls was beautiful, and we enjoyed some great views along the way. We felt proud to reach the top and happy that we can still handle tough hikes on rocky trails!
