Riverside State Park
A Beautiful Treasure in Spokane
We went to Riverside State Park, located ten miles from downtown Spokane, WA. We combined parts of a few trails that the State Park offers.
We started with the recommended Bowl and Pitcher Loop. At the overlook, we recognized the distinct rock formation, a bowl, and a pincher rising out of the Spokane River. The 150-foot-long footbridge, built in 1937, over the river is also gorgeous. We hiked several other trails through forests and meadows and various spectacular views.
Five miles further and two hours later, the second largest State Park of Washington had shown that it is a stunning treasure!
