Visiting Sunset Falls & Downtown Yacolt
Today, we started with a hike in Sunset Falls Park to view the last of the three falls in the area. Although the fall was beautiful, the trail was a little short.
So, after lunch at home, we walked downtown Yacolt to walk some extra miles and to take pictures of the small town. The main attraction is the heritage railroad. The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad was closed due to Covid. On our way back, dark clouds were approaching. Thankfully, we were home in time before the rain started pouring down.
In the evening, we went out for dinner. The cottage owners had given us a discount coupon for their restaurant, Backroads, in Yacolt. We enjoyed a simple meal here.
