Our week flew by in our Memphis charming home, a newly renovated and beautifully decorated Airbnb. The brand-new furniture, towels, and appliances made use feel welcomed adding a perfect touch for a relaxing stay.
However, our next home-away-from-home, was waiting for us, this time in Montgomery, Alabama
Our Southern Adventure Begins in Montgomery, AL
After a scenic 5.5-hour drive from Memphis, we arrived in Montgomery, Alabama, around 3:30 p.m. With our latest stops in Mississippi and Alabama, we have now explored all the lower 48 states. Only Alaska and Hawaii remain to complete our ambitious goal of visiting all fifty states.

This historical Airbnb in Montgomery is a beautiful colonial-style house with high ceilings, old wooden floors, and large furniture that perfectly complements this period. It is part of a living history museum Old Alabama Town showcasing a 19th-century Southern village.
The best part? We can leave the car behind for a couple of days! Every museum we’ve set our sights on, and every landmark we want to see is within walking distance of our charming place.
