Following the Lewis River!
A Scenic Drive to Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Monument.
We drove to Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Monument. We never got a chance to visit the actual monument. A thick layer of snow covered the main road as we approached our destination. We wanted to avoid getting stuck with our small two-wheel-drive car and turned around.
However, the drive through the mountains along the Lewis River was worthwhile the scenic tour! Still, I was slightly disappointed not to visit and see the monument.
