West Seattle, WA, and Lincoln Park, WA

West Seattle and Lincoln Park

We continued our travels to West Seattle, WA, on the west coast. Our Airbnb was located in the small Fauntleroy neighborhood, considered one of the finest places to live in Washington State. We couldn’t agree more. We loved our location close to the Puget Sound waterfront and gorgeous Lincoln Park.

The park with tall trees became the place to go for our daily hike, walk or run, whether early in the morning, lunchtime, or late evening. At the waterfront, the views were breathtaking, and the sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed the Olympic Mountains across Puget Sound waters. Or, when we rested on a bench for a while, we watched the always active ferry depart or arrive at West Seattle.

Toxic Air ...

We could not go outside for a few days. Wildfires dangerously polluted the air, and it was unsafe to inhale the toxic air. The sky was yellow in the middle of the day, giving an eerie “end of times” feeling. Luckily, this situation lasted only for e few days!
